Template text for your privacy policy

When you use HINTUP tools, your store starts sharing browsing data and, in some cases, your customers’ contact details with HINTUP, which acts as a data processor under your instructions. The law (Brazilian LGPD, art. 9; GDPR, art. 13) requires your privacy policy to say so. Clause 8.5 of HINTUP’s Terms of Use makes this a condition for activation.

How to use it

1. Copy the text below and paste it into your privacy policy, in the part dealing with sharing with third parties or third-party tools.
2. If your store does not use communication on your behalf (e-mails, cart recovery) or contact capture, remove those parts.
3. If your store serves customers in the European Union, also add the cookie-notice snippet at the end of this page and set your consent banner to load the HINTUP script only after acceptance.
4. Do this before activating the tools. Until you do, you are solely liable for complaints about this processing (Terms of Use, clause 8.5).

This is a minimum template. If your store has a lawyer or a more detailed policy, keep its structure and add only what is missing: who HINTUP is, that it acts as a processor, which data it receives and what for.

**HINTUP tools**

This store uses HINTUP tools (S. B. PASTRO TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMACAO LTDA, Brazilian tax ID 36.608.531/0001-09, São Paulo, Brazil) to personalise browsing (search, recommendations, interactive content), communicate on our behalf and capture contact details.

HINTUP acts as a data processor, under our instructions, and processes: a session identifier generated from technical characteristics of your browser; your interactions with products and categories (searches, views, clicks, cart, orders); and, when you provide them in this store, your name, e-mail and phone number. This data is used solely to provide those services to this store. HINTUP tools do not write cookies or any other data to your browser or device.

To exercise your rights over this data, contact this store through the channels listed in this policy. HINTUP's privacy policy is available at hintup.io/privacy-policy.

Cookie notice (stores with customers in the European Union)

In the EU, generating an identifier from browser characteristics requires prior consent, like a cookie. Add a “Functionality / personalisation” category to your consent banner with the text below, and load the HINTUP script only after acceptance.
